I bought a new Vista PC, and am trying to figure out how to transfer (easily)
my Outlook settings, settings to my new PC.

I have backed the different sections using *.pst, but not sure how to backup
my email account settings, etc.

Is there a way to do a single backup of everything? so I can easily restore
it on my new PC?

Thanks in advamce.

There isnt an Outlook 2007 XP, unless you mean you have Outllook 2007 on a
winXP system

The statement " I have backed the different sections using *.pst" gives
cause for concern
With Outllook closed you copy the pst files to media, eg memory stick, from
there copy to documents folder of Vista
Personally I would'nt try to transfer settings as its too easy to corrupt
the mail profile
Install OL2007 on the Vista PC, having first uninstalled any trial version &
the Activation assistant, then rebooted.
When you configure Oulook point to your data file in the documents folder
and configure your accounts

Yes, it is Outlook 2007 on a XP system that I'm trying to move to my new
Vista. I have different *.p[st files (one for archive, one for main
folder)...

Does that *.pst have all of my outlook mail settings (I have 5 differenty
POP3 acocunts)? Also are my contacts and Calensdar included?

Thanks in advance -

The pst has your mail, calendar and contacts. It has the rules (they may
need repointed to folders though) but the acct settings (mail server
settings) are in the registry. It's not recommended to move the registry
from one computer to another.
