how do I save outlook.pst as a text file?

I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2003 at home and Microsoft Entourage 2004 for MAC
at work. I need to export my Outlook.pst file to Entourage, but instructions
indicate I must save the file as an "MBOX-format text file". I need to know
how I can save the file to transfer it properly.

I've tried copying from Windows Explorer but it does not give me an option
to save as a different file type.

You would need to export your 'mail' in a format that MAC can import, see
the Export options within OL.
The MAC instructions you are reading relate to Outlook Express, a completely
different program.
Though if there is no import path for the files Outlook can export I guess
you could import into Outlook Express then Export from there in the
appropriate format.

Easy answer - install Thunderbird, (get it here:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

Then import your Outlook email into Thunderbird. Thunderbird uses the MBox
format mail folders. Just copy the resultant mail folders WITHOUT the
extension onto your Mac.

emails from Microsoft Outlook into Thunderbird. Now, I cannot find the folder
where the emails are to be able to import them to MAC. Can you help me in
that?

Open Thunderbird - do Tools- Account Settings. Click on Local Folders and
that will tell you where the mail files are located.
