My post (.pst) file has exceeded 1.99 GB and i am now not able to open the Microsoft Outlook. I am using Microsoft Outlook 2000 with Windows 2000 workstation.

I have created a NEW post file now and it is in operation but ALL my important e-mails are in the old post office files.

Please can u advise how to recover my e-mails from the old (.pst file)

Please send your replies to :

Here is a link to an article that explains about a tool that can be used to
help recover some of your data,
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;296088. Keep in
mind that this utility chops off part of the file to be able to recover
data and therefore some of your information will not be recoverable but it
should assist in recovering the majority of your information.

I hope this information is helpful.
