Hi
I don't know what has happened
Somehow Gmail is intecepting/catching email sent to my Outlook email
address before Outlook, but not every one as some do get through

I only set up a Gmail account at the behest of my Android mobile
Anyone know how I could resolve this situation
Any solution would ba very much appreciated

Did you configure Gmail to poll your other POP e-mail accounts? If
so, well, you told Gmail to grab e-mails from those other accounts.
Whether the e-mails are left in the original POP accounts depends on
how you configured Gmail's polling options.

Gmail starts to poll at around 5 minute intervals. If it finds no new
e-mail messages to retrieve then Gmail increases the mail poll
interval. With continual retries finding no new e-mails, Gmail keeps
on increasing the mail poll interval up to a maximum of 1 hour. So
eventually (for an idle account), Gmail ends up polling at 1 hour
intervals. Well, that's plenty of time for an e-mail to arrive for
your local e-mail client to grab it before Gmail gets around to its
next mail poll.

Login to your Gmail account and check its options. See if you told it
to poll other accounts.

Thank you for your reply
Go into the Gmaul account but couldn't find options
I did however notice that my secondary email address was my Outlook
address. I then removed it
Will have to wait to see if I have been successful

What, you don't read or understand hieroglyphics, this penchant for
operating systems and applications to show you a bunch of images that,
gee, you just must automatically or already know? The one writing the
hieroglphics knows what they meant by an image but it is NOT a
consistent language. Users are expected to click around trying to
find some recognizable languaged object in a web page.

After logging into Gmail, look at the gear icon at the upper right of
the web page. Then select Settings. Then look under the Accounts
section. See if Gmail is configured to "Check mail from other
accounts (using POP3)".

Like you say I don't understand this

However, this was easy to follow
I checked to see if Gmail was checking mail from other pop3 accounts &
sure enough it was so that was removed.

Thank you very much Vanguard for sticking with me to help resolve my
problem. Hopefully that's an end to it
