I was trying to setup an archive to a RW cd of my outlook. I just had to
redo my OS etc and so I formatted and all that. I forgot to copy back my
archive.pst or the outlook.pst. I am not sure which is which. Anyway when I
look at autoarchive I see the file at the end is Outlook. by end I mean the
path c:\MyDocument\ron\local setting\applicatioMicrosoft Outlook\Outlook.
the path might be wrong. Anyway it is something close to this.

When in outlook and my inbox is dispayled I can click on the inbox at the
top and it will show the archive folder and the Outlook. My problem is I
know have three archive folders showing and they are pointing to file in just
my documents, and one I tried to save on the RW CD. If if delted the
archive.pst from my documents, I get error messages when I start outlook
about the path to the archive.pst cannot be found. I want to clean out all
the archive folder listed and start over. I tried to delete using the file,
folder and delete option, but the are grayed out. Not active. I deleted the
folders, I could under each archive, but the defaults would not let me
delete. I nee help on how to get rid of these. Thank you

In Outlook, right-click the root of any folder set you don't want and choose
Close. This should remove that folder set from the Folder List. Stop
Outlook and you should be able to delete those PSTs in Windows. NEVER
delete a PST until after it has been removed from Outlook and Outlook
closed.
