Anyone know how I can open up an .msg in another program, like word? So I can
open a Note in another program (that is not opening up).

You can open any file you like with any application by right-clicking the
file and choosing Open With, by that doesn't mean that the application you
use will be able to make sense of the file you open. Only Outlook can
decode the contents of a .msg file and present it to you in an
understandable fashion.

You can open .msg files only in Outlook.
