I can't find one, but sometimes they are unlisted.... I need to find a
GPO to make calendar items (appts and meeting requests) default to
"private" when they are created. The user can make them public if they
so choose, but we wanted to change this behavior.
If noone knows of a GPO, how about another solution for this?
Modifying the forms themselves may be scary, but def could be looked
into.
Tx,
Rich

Hi there,
Thanks for the reply. Currently, all our calendars are shared. This
was how it was set up. Many people though do not want their calendars
to be see by others than the meeting members. So, I was challenged to
find a solution.
VBA might work, but is scary because we have 15 Citrix servers that
might not behave as expected. That would be quite a bit of testing...
Any input is always appreciated!
Rich
Note that standard free/busy publishing does expose the user's availability
but does not expose any details about the meeting. So if you were to remove
the Calendar permissions, other people would not see the details anymore.
If your corporation is willing to change this default sharing of the
calendars, then the IT department can make this change in bulk for all the
users. You can either use the PFDAVAdmin tool for this or scripting
solutions. You can also notify your users beforehand about this so that they
can express if they do or do not want to be included in this change (some
might not object to the current behavior and would like to leave things as
is).
