Is it possible to share calendars and contacts without a
server or using web folders? We are a small office with a
peer-to-peer network for sharing printers and folders &
would like to use this system for Outlook 2000 as well.
Thanks for any assistance you can give us.

I have used net folders successfully in a similar situation as yours.
However, be aware that Net Folders is not included in Office XP!!

If you are using Outlook 2000 you can use Net Folders but
don't upgrade to Outlook 2002 and expect to share. Net
Folders has been eliminated. We bought 4 upgrades and when
trying to install the first one learned the devestating
news. How can MS talk about productivity, team work etc.
and provide no way for the small business to share
contacts and tasks?

They do provide a way for small businesses to share contacts and task
-- its called the Small Business Server -- now aren't we thankful that Microsoft
takes such good care of us!

Ellie,
I've never done this.. but a friend I work with (all in 'Internet Only' mode.. no Exchange Server) 'shares' his calender and
contacts by going to the 'Calender', then clicking 'File\Share\Calender' (or 'File\Share\Contacts') and setting it up with the
'other persons' e-mail.. and the other person does the same for him.

Apparently, if my friend makes a change to his calender, it automatically sends this change (through e-mail, I think) to the
other person, and it automatically gets inserted on his calender or something. Contacts appears similar....

You might investigate this.. and, please.. tell us what you find.. I'm very curious about this.
