Virus

I believe that I have a virus on my computer .I have taken many precautions
to avoid this .All the ones you can come up with.I run A good anti virus
program as well as have XP set up to protect my computer. When I leave my
computer setting for a time and return if I try to go to another web page it
hangs up and tries to send me to a web page that's like e-universe. The only
way I can stop it is to re-boot and un plug my modem for a bit and then I
can continue as usual till I set for a bit then all over. I have downloaded
the worm blaster fixes and still no luck.Any help would be appreciated.

Do you mean the program Lavasoft Ad-aware6 I should uninstall this program

Yes it does find some tracking cookies but nothing significant. It also
interferes with Spybot so I un-installed lavasoft and ran a scan with your
suggestion and it came back with 123 different threats most it said were
severe. I hope this program will help me stay safer .
