Unable to move mail from one folder to another

Once in a while, a message gets moved from the inbox into an incorrect
folder. When I try to move the message again, I get a message telling me
that it can't be moved because it's already been moved into its current
folder and can't be moved again. Has this happened to anyone else, and how
did you correct the situation?
