For some reason, we have had problems with the McAfee anti-spam toolbar for
the past several weeks. McAfee temporarily fixed it by disabling a few
add-ins, but the problem is back. We cannot access the McAfee toolbar, which
means we cannot designate Inbox messages as SPAM or McAfee folder messages as
not SPAM. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

What do you mean with "we cannot access the McAfee toolbar". How are you
trying to access it and what happens when you try?

It sounds like you have conflicting addins installed as that's what fixed it
the first time for you. Disable all the addins except the McAfee one and see
if it works now. Then enable them one by one to find the culprit.

In as much as McAfee's email scanner is one of the two most problematic
applications in the known universe, you might want to consider abandoning it
since all it does is slow things down and create considerable trouble where
none otherwise exists while offering you absolutely NO additional
protection.

We unchecked all the add-in boxes except McAfee, but nothing changed. Now
what? Can someone help us figure out what the problem is?

McAfee *is* the problem.

We understand that is your view. However, with McAfee's AntiSpam, we can
designate messages as Spam and report them to McAfee. Without that feature,
we cannot do that. How can we restore it? Or do you have a workaround?

Ther is no work-around other than one McAfee can provide. it is their
product, it is malfunctioning, and they need to fix it.
