mail storage limit

I've heard that there is a mail storage limit for outlook 2003 that if the
size of all your emails goes beyond that limit, all of your emails will be
automatically deleted without notice. And that using Outlook express could
prevent this kind of storage limit problem from happenig. Is this true? Any
Comment please?

To my understanding that any problems regarding the size of emails are
related to the mail server and outlook 2003 and outlook express are basically
idential in terms of email functionalities. Please Correct me on this if I'm
wrong.

And I also heard that Outlook 2003 will be the last version of Office
outlook and there will not be any more new verions to be made. Any comments
on this please?

1) No, not true. The maximum size of an Outlook 2003 pst-file is by default
20GB but can be larger by editing the registry. When the pst-file is
reaching the 20GB limit you'll get a warning of this and no new items can be
added to the pst-file so you're forced to clean up, create a new pst-file or
increase the maximum size and warning level through the registry. NOTHING
gets deleted in Outlook unless you tell it to.

2) Outlook 2003 has a broader support for account types and has (among
others) much more composing options. Can you be a bit more specific in why
you asking this?

3) Haha, definitely not true. Outlook 12 is coming along nicely. It should
be there halfway 2006. Outlook Express is also still in development. Don't
know if anything is done at it for Internet Explorer 7 (first beta will
start this summer) but there is definitely some development done for it for
the next release of Windows.
