I originally posted this question around the 5th of May - Sue Mosher replied
with a request for more info. - I wasn't able to reply at that time and now
I can't see Sue's response - So I'm asking again - Sorry for the trouble.

The company I work for has a web based request form that emails a
confirmation of any requests. The email shows as coming from me - I have
set a rule to have the email sent to a
specific folder however it doesn't forward it - what should I do?

What are the *exact* conditions and actions for the rule? There are at least
a couple of ways to handle the type of rule you're building.

In the rules wizard it shows Apply this rule after the message arrives from
Ryhorchuk, Trevor (PCG Canada - Parksville) move it to the BEST Web Forms
folder. It's property is to check messages when they arrive. This is one
of three rules I have created, it is the first one in the order and the
remaining two work as they should.

You might want to check the address that the messages are arriving under
against what's in the rule. You may also need to have matching display
names. You can add multiple recipients to that "from" condition, so you
don't need multiple rules.

You're right - the wizard is looking for a different display name. When i
put my email address in a rule it automatically shows a display name that
head office created, I can't seem to make it just show the actual address.

By the way, I have been watching the posts in the outlook groups for about a
month now, learning what I can, your site kept being referred too - it's
been a great help, I also purchased your learn to program outlook book which
I am working through now - thanks for all the help.

As you add the new address to that rule, click New, then New Entry, then
Other Address. You'll be able to enter addresss and display name. Use SMTP
for the address type.
