Hi,

I have just downloaded Office 2007 from the Microsoft site, and upgraded
from Office 2003.

Now, when I open Outlook 2007, it tells me that it cannot connect to my
Hotmail account, which worked perfectly through Outlook 2003.

Specifically, the message says:
A connection to the server cannot be established.
http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp is now in offline mode.

If I highlight one of the Hotmail folders (e.g. Inbox), and click File,
Connect to Hotmail from the menu, nothing appears to happen - the cursor
changes to an hourglass for about a second, then back to the standard
pointer.

If I click Tools, Account settings, highlight the Hotmail account, and click
Repair, Next, it establishes a connection to Hotmail, successfully finds my
account settings, but then fails to log on. N.B. Hotmail is working fine
outside Outlook 2007.

If I try to add a new account, Hotmail doesn't appear as one of the
options - is Hotmail no longer available through Outlook 2007?

Any assistance gratefully received.

Mark

Hotmail accounts are only accessible through Outlook (XP, 2003 and 2007)
when you have a paid membership. If you had access to it without a paid
membership you were one of the lucky few ;-)

Ah - I see. Thanks for the clarification.

Have you contacted MSN? Since you pay them, they should be able to address
the issue.
