In Outlook 2007 (on Windows Vista), when trying to view activities for a
contact, we see all activities for all contacts; this list is not filtered by
the contact we're viewing. The public folders are on an Exchange 2003
server. The activities tab works as expected on all systems that have
Outlook 2003 or 2002.

Has anyone else run into something like this?

Don: I have this exact problem. The only difference is I am running OL 2007
on XP. All other computers on our network use OL 2003 and their activities
view is fine. Did you ever find a solution?

I also have the problem on the one XP system we have running OL2007. Since
we only have 2007 running on 2 systems (1 each Vista and XP), I think the
solution is to roll back to 2003.

A couple of other things that might be relevant: (1) Our problem is with a
custom form, and (2) if you move off of the activities tab, and then back to
it, the control that displays activities doesn't show up at all. Issue (2)
also occurs if you don't change the tab, but use the drop-down control to
show linked items in a different activities folder.

Does this still seem similar to your problem?

Yep, if I understand your last post, I have the same issues:

1. I am not using a custom form.
2. If I move off the activities tab and then back, all of the asks are
gone and I can't get them to show up again.
3. Yes, all tasks go away if you use the drop down.

I can't believe that nobody else is posting on this same problem. It
sure seems like a glitch in Outlook, and you would think they would
know about it and correct it by now.

Have you not seen anything else out there on this issue? Have you
gone back to 2003?

I only have one production (or end-user test) system running 2007 right now.
If there's no resolution, we'll move back to 2003.

I *am* using a custom form, but the Activities page is unmodified. I was
surprised, too, that nobody else seems to have noted this problem. I've let
the issue languish for a while in the hope that it would be resolved in an
update. Unfortunately, it's become a problem for the one user who's been
playing with OL2007, so I'll likely have to remove Office 2007 and replace it
with Office 2003 tomorrow or this weekend.

Well, it happens with default forms, too, so it's obviously either a bug or a
new "feature"; either way, it renders Office 2007 useless for us.

Me too.

FYI, the problem with the drop-down is really just a repaint issue: resizing
the form window causes the control used for the activities list to reappear.

This makes it look even more like it's a bug; just something that didn't get
cleaned up before release.
