I am running MS Outlook 2000 SP-3
Window XP

When I try to send an e-mail message and click on "To...."
when my address appears it is in First Name, Last Name
order.

I have gone to "Tools / Options / Contacts / Contact
Options" and selected the Last Name, First Name. When I
change something the only option is "OK" or "Cancel",
the "Apply" is not avaliable.

Does anybody have any ideas??

Thank You
RH

To sort the Address Book by last name in Outlook 2000: Open the Address
Book, select Tools | Sort By, and select both Name and Last Name.

Thank You for the Reply,
That is what I have tried (both of them), and it does not
take.

When I change something the only option is "OK"
or "Cancel", the "Apply" is not avaliable.

Agin,
Thanks

I'm talking about opening the Address Book, not the Contacts folder
options. Your original message said you changed it in the Contacts
options, but you need to go to Tools | Address Book, then follow my
directions below. Even though the Outlook 2000 Address Book is just a
different view of your Contacts, it still has is own sort options
separate from those of the Contacts folder.
