Import/export no longer available on File menu

Help!

I'm a long term Outlook user, now using Outlook 2002

For some strange reason the Import and Export item on the
File Menu is no longer there! Not even grayed out - but
has totally vanished!

Can anyone help with this strange phenomenon.

Have you tried to add the feature from the Office CD?

Sure have Russ - in fact uninstalled this particular
fature and then reinstalled. The latter appeared to be
fine during the course of installation, but still no menu
item.

I've also fully uninstalled the whole Office Suite and
reinstalled that, with similar results.

When I upgraded from Outlook 98, initially everything was
fine, with the import and export item appearing, and
usable (or at least as usable as it can be - when are
Microsoft going to give us the easy ability to import to
user defined fields? But thats another story!)

Find and rename outcmd.dat with Outlook closed. Restart Outlook.
