I use office XP and Windows XP. I have a question about outlook. I want to
be able to flag a message by simply clicking the flag column next to a
message like I do in Outlook Express. Is this possible? Currently it seems to
only work when I open a message and then flag it.

You'll be able to do that in Outlook 11. In earlier versions, you can
customize the toolbar to add the Follow Up button on the toolbar or
right-click the message and choose Follow Up.
