on a network, need to share a couple hundred contacts
between users without e-mailing. Any suggestions?

Sue-
I am in dire straits and need to see if you have an
answer. MS needs to make Outlook a "shared" app. I am a
sales maanger in a small biz and need to keep up on my
sales people. So will Exchange server 2000 or 2003 along
with MS Outlook (we will be using 2003- great new
features) allow me to do this? My admin can create shared
folder(s) on remote users? I can view them in my Outlook
app? Do they have to be online or is there an "autosynch"
so that it syncs in the background when they are
connected? And I can view the last auto synch when they
are NOT connected? Do I need any 3rd party app or will
Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003 do the trick? I have
called MS pre sales twice- one was sure it would do it
the other was not so sure. We all want to stay on Outlook
and not go to ACT or third party contact manager- NONE of
them do ALL that Outlook can do.

Thanks for your repsonse

Exchange Server has always provided the highest level of sharing available in Outlook. Users can work offline and synchronize periodically with the server. Someone connected directly to the server can see whatever information in other mailboxes they have permission to view.
