Hello. When I get an email that contains links, Outlook will not let
me open them. I click on the link, it goes to a blank screen, the
computer processor is working (because I see the hour-glass), but it
never connects to the website. It just sits there forever.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I am using Outlook 2003 (SP3) with Windows XP Media Center Edition (v
2002, SP2) on a Dell XPS 400 desktop. I keep all my updates current.

ANY help would be appreciated!!! This is driving me crazy.

Thanks,
Jessi

An update... I have discovered that if I open Internet Explorer first
BEFORE I click on the link, then all is well. The problem only
happens if I do not already have Internet Explorer open.

I have already checked my default browser settings in Control Panel to
make sure that Internet explorer is my default browser.

Thanks!
Jessi

Make sure you don't try this in the junk folder, it will not work. Make sure
the email you're trying to click the link on is in the in box...Peter

Thank you for your advice. But the hyperlinks in the email messages
are in the inbox... not the junk folder. Any other ideas why IE has
to be already open before the links will work?

Thanks!!
