How to purge reply "Read Request" in sending queue?

I am currently using two SMTP in MS Outlook 2003 depending on the
network I am connected on. Unfortunately, I have "Read Request" in my
sending queue that is linked to the wrong SMTP account. Thus, Outlook
keeps failing at trying to send the "Read Request".

This situation is really annoying because the "Read Request" does not
appear in the Outbox; thus, I can't correct the SMTP account.
Does anyone know how
- either discard "Read Request" after a few attempts
- or purge the "Read Request" queue.
