I've tried:
Highlighting the item in the recurring appointments view and hitting delete.
No luck.
Right clicking on the item while in recurring appointments view (hoping to
get a delete option). Nothing.
Clearing the forms cache (both thru the Tools/Options/Other/Advanced/Forms
and also deleting the the .dat file from the C: drive.)
Changing the pdf addin value in the local user registry from 3 to 2. No luck.
Any other suggestions? This wouldn't bother the user so much except the
meeting 1. was set with no end date; 2. Reminder pops up continuously since
user can't dismiss it...
Any
With Outlook CLOSED, download MFCMAPI tool from
http://support.microsoft.com/?ID=291794
1. Run MFCMAPI on the desktop
2. Go to Session->Logon and Display Store Table
3. Select your profile
4. Select Mailbox
5. Expand "Root Container"
6. Right click “Reminders" and select "Open Contents Table"
7. New Window Launches with Title Reminders
8. Select all the reminder items listed there, Right click and select
"Delete Message"
9. Close MFCMAPI
Reopened Outlook and don't find the past Reminders firing again. The issue
got resolved.

Each recurring appointment is exactly one entry in your calendar. View your
calendar in a table view like Events or By Category and delete unwanted
recurring events that way. Then, start Outlook once with the
/cleanreminders command switch. Press WinKey+R. In the Open field, type
outlook.exe /cleanreminders
Be sure to include the space. Press Enter.
