I have BCM2007 loaded on my hard drive with Outlook 2007 Pro, but I cannot
configure or install the application. This option is not available in the
Help menu. Is there a step I'm missing?

Hi Charlie,

If I understand correctly, you have all the BCM files from the CD copied
onto your hard drive, and want to install the application.

Did you try to run setup.exe from the files? That will install BCM for you.
After that, opening Outlook will run the startup wizard. Completing that
wizard makes you use BCM.

Sat,

Thank you for your prompt reply. Indeed, you are correct. I do have a copy
of BCM2007 through a volume license agreement. As you directed, I ran the
setup.exe file in the BCM2007 folder under Program Files. When I click on
'reinstall' (it was installed previously, but not working properly) I get an
error message stating "Setup failed to install.....See C:\Documents and
Settings\HP_Owner\Local Settings\temp\MBSsetuptmp2c.log' or (same message)
'..MBSsetuptmp43.log'

Another error I got when I try running the BCM Wizard with Outlook running
says "Process cannot access "C:\Program Files\BCM2007\BCMHooks.dll because it
is being used by another process."

Thanks again for your help, Sat-
Charlie

i too have the same problem.

I was setting up my laptop. iT Seemed to have installed properly at first.
the pop up wizard showed a handful of times while I was working on other
configuration details with outlook. At some point the wizard stopped showing.

I've uninstalled, uninstalled & rebooted, repaired, comparing the directory
with another working copy of BCM and even installed the latest version of the
service pack.

No luck. The only thing that I have a reference to is under the Contact
tab, the Business contact manager group is there. This group was stll there
even after uninstalling.

Help or suggestions?

The BCM add-in may have been disabled.

In the Windows Registry check:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins
\Microsoft.VbaAddinForOutlook.1

The value of LoadBehavior should be 3 for Outlook to load it.
