Hi there,

First of all, i would like to say that since i installed SCOM, i really like
this system, and always trying to learn something new, and
apperantlly....theres alot to learn.

Here is my case...

I want to monitor a specific event ID in application log inside the event
viewer.
I'm talking about a windows 2003 server i installed the agent on it and so
far everything is OK.

My question is, how do i configure a unit monitor to send me e-mail
evertytime i get this specific eventid.(i know that i can configure Manual
reset,Windows event reset or,Timer reset)...i think maybe the Manual reset
will help me.

Also, My guess is probably wirting a VB script, but since i'm not that good
in scripting i thought maybe you can tell me exactly what to do, or send me a
specific link for this issue.

I'm working on SCOM2007 SP1, the server is W2K3 with sp2.

Best regards,
and hope to hear from you soon.

You need to upgrade to R2 to do this - you can use powershell to accomplish
this in SP1 but it is a mess and if anyone opens up the notification in the
GUI then it breaks the subscription. Google operations manager 2007 granular
notificatins for more info .. there is lots out there.
