Hi there,

I've been struggling with RMS and OpsDB install for a few days now. I'm
trying to install SCOM R2 on a Windows 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 SP1 box. It is a
all in one box, meaning both the RMS and SQL will be residing in the same
box.

I'm using a domain user account as the management action account as well as
the SDK service during the install. The install will go all the way to the
end and would take a long time during Remove old backup file stage. I took a
look at the install log file and it will constantly complaining about
waitforsdkservicestart:entering and will retry for 45 minutes. I looked the
service.msc, both the SDK and CFG services started successfully but not the
health service.

I read a few blogs online that say that I should make sure using the same
SQL server service account as the SDK service account and make sure the
service account has the permission to read and write to the SPN. Even though
I didn't see the SPN error in the event log, I grant the service account with
the read/write to the SPN anyway using ADSIEdit. However, the install still
failed.

I used the same domain user account in both the SDK and CFG services, I have
also used Local System in both but I still encountered the same error.

When I look into the install log file in the temp folder, I am seeing this
before the WaitForSDKServiceStart errors:
