Windows Server 2008 agent not monitored

Hi I have a SCOM 2007 configured as a server and am configuring Windows 2008
as an agent. I have installed the Agent and the base OS mp as well. But after
adding/approving the windows 2008 server I still see a not monitored state
which is disable. CAn you please let me know what am I missing. The Windows
server 2008 is a 64 bit OS

the scom server takes some time to get mp information loaded to the client to
moniter.
