I'd like to automatically delete agents from the database if they do not
check in with a management server after 30 days. Any suggestions on how this
can this be done?

I'll have to go checking. I think there was an SQL query once posted that
you can use to determine whether an agent hasn't checked in within 30 days.

The Get-Agent cmdlet reports a LastModified value, but I think this is
related to the HealthService.

Once you're able to determine when the agent last checked in, then you have
the Uninstall-Agent cmdlet that can be removed to remove an agent.

I've never tried this.

Give me a few days to try to find that link to some SQL code to get the
agent status in a helpful manner.

Thanks Marco,

I believe the Uninstall-Agent cmdlet is for removing the agent if it is
available, but I am looking for a way to remove agents that have been removed
from the network and now show up in the console as not monitored. Many
thanks for your help!

Perhaps you're correct. I'll try to go looking through the OpsMgr SDK to
see if I can find something useful.

Sorry I have nothing to added to this thread except for an additional plee
for assistance.

I have a couple agents I can not get rid of that show up in a Management
Pack. Their "state" icon is grey. How do you get rid of these?

Thanks!

OK, nevermind.. I found an article that describes how to do what I was asking
about. Apparently it's not supported but it seems to be the only way to get
rid of "stale" computer entities in SCOM.. It worked and nothing seems broken.

I'm glad you found something. Sorry, I wasn't of more help.
