I have exhausted everything thing I know to try and get IIS MP to email me
the alerts that SCOM generates. As before, they show up as alerts in the
console, but will not email those alerts. All other alerts, for example SQL
db's being offline or out of space, email after the alerts are generated just
fine.
If anyone has any guidance they can offer I'd sure appreciate it. I simply
want to be emailed if an Application Pool stops, or website goes offline and
such.
Thanks in advance.
No matter what I do I will get alerts and emails for all servers on all MP's
with the exception of the IIS MP which only gives alerts and no emails.
I have verified latest version of IIS MP installed. Have even removed the MP
completely and reinstalled.
I have tested other alerts/emails, for example in SQL I can stop Agent
Service and get the email of alert. Just nothing from the IIS MP.
As mentioned before, I have made sure all servers and all MP's are all tied
to the default Group.
I have tested with offline web sites, offline FTP sites and offline
Application Pools and alerts are had, but no emails.
I have spent days trying to find what I am doing wrong here, but the only
thing NOT in common between successful emailed alerts and unsuccessful ones
are any alerts from the IIS MP.
Can anyone shed some light or suggestions?
Found issue in the post below for Exchange MP. You must have priority LOW
checked or no IIS MP emails will be sent.
