RE: KB957123 available again. (IIS 7.0 support)

I tried installing this earlier and was still experiencing the 4507 errors on
all servers, crashing health monitor services, etc. I tried completely
removing the agents on the 2k8 servers, re-installing the agent manually and
adding the hotfix back, then installing the MP and still had massive problems.

After 8 hours of fighting the errors I uninstalled it all and had to
cleanmom on all of the agents to make it functional again.

Stefan,

Did you find a solution? I also still get the errors after installing the
hotfix.

No, I'm left to assume the original issue was not fixed and Microsoft simply
made the broken fix available again on the site.

I installed it on the management server and the servers went into pending
update. I updated both manual and automatic servers and still received the
error noted. After servers were successfully updated, hours later they
appeared back under Pending Update. Overall it was a real mess and the only
fix I could manage was to completely uninstall the agents I had updated and
uninstall the management pack and then re-install the agents.

I'm trying to install this on W2K3 x64 and not having any luck at all. I keep
getting this error on either of my new SCOM Management Servers (located in
different networks/forests):

Error 2762: Cannot write script record. Transaction not started.

Any tips?

I am having these issues as well. I installed the hotfix on the RMS and GW
servers with the elevated command prompt and the install succeeded. I then
updated all the agents successfully however afterwards the 4705 error keeps
appearing in bunches every few minutes. It seems to affect the group
calulation scripts possibly.

Ultimatly as soon as I remove the IIS7 portion of the MP the errors do not
come back and the agents seems to be fine communication wise.

Please advise.

i receive same error after installing the fix ? is any fix of this
fix ??? or any other fix of all fix??? actually i tired of not working
ms fixes ... :(

Hi,
The error suggests that the module that is reponsible for IIS7 monitoring
has not been deployed on the agent. The MP has been downloaded to the agent,
but the agent does not know of the COM class that implements IIS 7 monitoring
functionality. The hotfix installs a new DLL called MOMIISModules.dll (and
registers the COM classes in it using regsvr32.exe).

The agent is supposed to have the DLL installed and registered, and this
happens when you approve the agents. Once the hotfix is installed, the agents
go into a pending mode and you have to manually approve them.Once this
happens, the agents will download the new hot- fix, which contains the DLL
and also the agent will register them.

Did they go into a pending state? Did you approve the agents? If you
did, can you verify if there is a file called MOIISModules.dll in the Ops
Manager install directory? I suspect that the agents did not get the hotfix
yet.
