Run an MP Discovery forcefully

Hi
MP Discoveries are run on a predefined sschedule and frequency. Is there a
way through which i can forcefully run the discovery ?
It could based on an event/alert or even using MOMSDK or script ?

yes, you can make the datasource for the discovery be a composite
module consisting of a datasource (the event log datasource looking
for a specific event) and the probe action that actually outputs the
discovery data items.
