It also seems to be a standard request to override the default :-)
Every web designer does it and every web browser offers it but OneNote
doesn't yet give us the option to change the default.

I fully agree.
It does not make any sense to me to have hyperlinks coloured differently
from what is normal GUI standard.
Rainald
Well I for one disagree, there are times when a link should be a
different colour, because for instance I have to click on it to action
something, or maybe to indicate that I have visited the site.
My workaround is to highlight the text according to the status of the
link.
Count me as a dissenter.
Few websites display hyperlinks as default blue underlined these days. It
seems to clash with every designer's aesthetic sensibilities.
Word offers the option to change the default format for hyperlinks to those
users who wish to do so. Why not OneNote?

Everybody gas the right if dissenting ;-)

OK, fine. Everybody is free to post in Connect ;-)
Rainald
Hope that helps!
The problem is that the hyperlinks are very difficult to read with a dark
gray background i'm using! So i've been in pain for at least 2 years now
using OneNote 2007 with my default Windows theme! I have to get closer to the
screen, focus on the text or highlight the text to be able to read the
hyperlinktext which in all these cases bring my out of focus and drains my
energy! The information tool should be flexible on such trifling matters
which suprisingly matter to a great extent for the user's day to day
experience!
I want to change the default hyperlink color very badly!! Did anyone post
the bug on MS Connect? Because I couldn't find it to vote for it! And don't
want to spread the votes between different bug entries which is not very
effective!
If someone did post, please paste the URL to it here. Otherwise I'll start a
new one and past it here.
Who has the knowledge to point me in the right direction, besides advising
me to wait that is (a painful option). Waited too long to contact for help,
because I was deep down skeptical I guess. Should have reached out a long
time ago. I guess better now than never. Anyone?
Sorry, *I* can not answer this questions. Only the developers could
:-( :-(
FWIW:
In the current TP (Technical Preview) the situation seems unchanged: One
can change the color of "normal" hyperlinks but not of URL-hyperlinks to
some web address.

FWIW:
The situation is unchanged in the current TP (Technical Preview). So
Think we will not see any change in ON 21010.
As workaround for your situation:
Just use a *highlight* as a background for the hyperlinks (using the
"Text Highlight Color" button in the Format toolbar)
Bright yellow as a highlight will for sure provide a better contrast.
Rainald
P.S. I really do not understand your approach with changing the Windows
default colors. In the past I did quite some scientific work concerning
GUI issues. Using a dark gray background for editing text is not
improvement in ergonomics.
