I was able to perfectly send emails from my Microsoft
OneNote application using Outlook 2003. After I formatted
the OneNote file just the way that I wanted, I was able to
click email, put in an email address, and then send it off
no problems; the email in Outlook would have the exact same
formatting. I am not sure what happened, but my Outlook is
now changing the formatting of the email, and I am very
confused. Has anyone seen this problem.? It appears to
grab all the text entries and format them in a column on
the left side of the email. Very frustrating. Please help!

Do they look that way when the recipient opens them too? Which e-mail
editor are you using; Word or Outlook? (in Outlook, Tools | Options | Mail
Formatting)

I am using Word to edit/create emails in Outlook. Also,
the emails look the same when I open them in my Outbox and
when the recipient receives them... Please let me know if
you want to me to email examples of before after email
formatting... Thanks for responding!

The mail looks fine for the recipient, but when they (or you) forward or
reply to it, if you have used a complex 2D layout, it will be "flattened"
against the left margin (actually the objects are "serialized" one after the
other) because some (most) editors cannot support the 2D layout for mail
when they go to edit it. You can also see this for complex web pages sent as
mail - they work when received, but on reply or forward the layout can
change.

Gordon, when a OneNote mail with complex 2D layout is forwarded or replied
to, the email editor you are using can remove the 2D aspect and align
everything to the left. This happens with hotmail, or Outlook if you have
Word as the editor. It probably happens with some other mail programs as
well, if they do not support 2D positioning.

Chris,
Thanks for the info. I like Word Email editor with Digital Ink, and
send a copy of my note from OneNote too. Is there any options?

Try not to write all over the page in OneNote if you plan to mail notes that
way - write more or less top to bottom. Or, tell your recipients to open the
*.one attachment in the mail (if they have Onenote).
