I want to somehow separate my notes on a page using borders around each note I take--much like the container is shown when a note is clicked upon.
Is there a way to do this or to at least leave the containers on all the time?

Sometimes I want to put a border around a screen clipping to help separate the clip from the surrounding text. I create a single cell table and then place the screen clip into the table cell. You could do this for each section of your notes.

Great Answer from @Mike; Then you can format the table to color the shading of the single cell table to create a nice border.

But manually adding a text box is a dirty workaround, why can the container not have a border (as an option), even this google group does that.
I agree that many times it is not wanted but just as many it is - for me about 50/50
