Hi there

Would appreciate some help on tags in onenote.

I often uses different PC for work and I have a vitual network setup so
that the onenote will syn with each laptops. However, the customised
tags I had added on one laptop donts seems to be automatically syn with
the other PC, even though the added tags icon will be syn to the other
PC.

Is there anyway I can syn the tags into the onenote of another PC which
is connected to the vitual network? Or is there any recommended
softwares which I can use to syn all the tags I use in the MS office /
other applications/logs. This way I just need to have a master database
of my personal tags for all different applications used.

Thanks

What about if you right-click those custom tags to add them to the "My
Tags" collection? Are they available in the shared notebooks then?

How many different machines are we talking about?

From the computer that has them set up to your liking...

Copy the files preferences.dat and toolbars.dat in the OneNote user
application data files folder to each computer. It will make the tags and the
toolbars the same for all computers.

I suggest making a backup of the original *.dat files on the receiving
computer(s) first.
