how do I get onenote to recognise japanese text from a picture.

I have a small picture from the internet and I'm trying to get onenote to
recognize the text within the picture. but my only options are English French
and Spanish

There is no OCR for Japanese in ON.

If you want to enable Japanese OCR in OneNote, making pictures searchable, here is what worked for me:</p>
<p>Unfortunately, first you must purchase the <a title="Language packs purchase page" href="http://buy.trymicrosoftoffice.com/buyus/product.aspx?family=langpack&amp;culture=en-US" title="Language packs purchase page">Japanese Office 2007 Language Pack</a> , which costs about $30 (US).&nbsp; Next, install the language pack.&nbsp; Finally, install the <a title="Japanese Office 2007 SP2" href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=ja&amp;FamilyID=b444bf18-79ea-46c6-8a81-9db49b4ab6e5" title="Japanese Office 2007 SP2">Japanese version of the Office 2007 SP2</a> update (even if you've already installed the English version SP2 update).&nbsp; Good luck.</p>
