I've just downloaded a trial version of onenote 2007. I did not activate it
the first time I run it. I found out that I could not type or New any new
page/section. The onenote app runs in "View" mode only. So I went through the
activation windows and input the trial keys. The last page says "The copy
will expire on xxxxx." However, I still cannot do any typing/editing in the
onenote app. What's wrong? Please help.
Thanks!

I'm assuming the activation went well without any errors?

The expiration date you see is for the evaluation copy itself, and
shouldn't have anything to do with the activation status if the activation
worked correctly.

Can you try to create something other than by typing in an existing Section
or Page? Can you for example try to create a new Notebook or Section
(using the options found under the File menu)? If you can create a new
Section, can you type anything on that default blank page in that new
Section?
