I've been using OneNote for over a year now, and have a specific tab called
"Project X Meetings" where I keep my weekly status meeting notes. About
every 3 months or so, I move old status meeting pages/sub-pages to a
different OneNote tab called "Old Meetings".

The thing is, my "Project X Meetings" tab file size is still 1.5MB (and
growing!). I've gone through each sub-page to make sure there are no
images, and there is nothing but text and note flags. Right now, I have
about 20 total pages (made up of pages and sub-pages) purely with text and
note flags, and I still get this 1.5MB file size.

I have other (larger) tabs with more pages/sub-pages which are less than a
quarter of this file size.

How can I get the size down?

Thanks, that did it!

File size went from 1.5MB to 400K!

It should be noted that 1.5MB isn't large enough of a size to be
concerned about. OneNote happily churns through larger files without
issues. People shouldn't normally worry about large files in OneNote.

It is for me, as I have a number of project folders within OneNote which
need to be very portable between my home office, work office, and laptop.

Small file size is key-
