I've read oodles of posts regarding print driver that manages documents to be
sent to OneNote; however, there does not seem to be a clear solution for
missing drivers. I've followed all kinds of suggestions, including repairs,
reboots, etc. Is there a single-point solution for the disappeared driver?
Thanks.

Are you running a 32-bit or a 64-bit version of Windows?

Have you tried removing, rebooting and then reinstalling?

Have uninstalled and reinstalled with reboots multiple times. The install
does not load the driver. We reconfigured another printer to select the ON
parameters and at least got ON looking for a file. Now the error is that "ON
cannot find the file you specified". The error message is silly because it
sends a link to the file, sends a copy of the file, opens the associated
program (word and excel) and then acts stupid.

Also did run the install as administrator. Also, notice that I do not have
the option to print to ON in the associated Word and Excel programs. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you have OneNote 2003 installed?
Is this on Windows Vista or XP?
Did you delete the printer that you reconfigured?
When you take a look into printers, what printers are listed there?
Are you trying to print from within OneNote or do you open e.g. Word and
print from there?

I posted this suggestion recently, after I dicovered an apparent conflict
affecting printer ports after installing software after ON was installed.
The later software installed a PDF printer which appears to have interfered
with the ON printer port. I solved the problem for my computer using the
following technique:

1. Go to Controp Panel - Printers
2. Identify the printer (in this case pdf printer) installed after ON.
3. Right click mouse and open properties.
4. Go to Ports tab and check entries.
5. Check if the box next to "Send to Microsoft OneNote Port:" is ticked.
6. If ticked this appears to be the source of the conflict.
7. Delete the offending printer driver.
8. Perform a repair install of ON.

In my case this solved the problem.
