Assuming that both nodes are on the same internal network, look at the IP
properties of both machines. Do they have the same subnet mask and default
gateway? Do they have similar address (which should only differ by the
last number or possibly the last two numbers)?
Can you otherwise clarify the setup you have? We'll be better prepared to
answer.

Also, I can access each machine, one from the other, both
ways, with no problem over the LAN without using OneNote
(simple file sharing). I just don't understand why the
session sharing isn't working. OS is XP Pro with SP2.

Weird.
Zone Labs states that it's firewall does not work with
servers, so I suppose this would be a type of Server
Envrionment?
