I'm not sure. Are you sure that the various codes in the URL are for a
specific message? Can you copy a URL to a message, close the browser,
clear your cache, open the browser and paste the URL and still have it go
to the same intended message?

Trying to determine if it is indeed something funky with OneNote or with
the URLs generated by GMail.

I'm unable to test because I do not have a gmail-account.

The way you repeat things, there seems to be a bug.
