Office sp1 installation problem - KB946691 Code 8007006E anybody?

I have Office 2007 Home Office Edition and my Windows Update system has been
constantly trying to install the KB946691 upgrade to SP1. It always ends with
an error message saying Code 8007006E KB946691.
I've searched on all the search engines to no avail. Can anybody help me,
please?
BTW: I've not been able to install the Windows Vista Service Pack 1
(KB936330) either...

Thanks, I'm downloading this file now (73 MB!!!) and try it, although
the KB doesn't mention the error code I got...

After a loooooong time installing the downloaded update, again the
affected updates give the same error message: 80070026E. Cannot update
Office 20017... :(
BTW, I have the Home and Student edition - don't know if that is the
problem???

All I know is I could not get updates to load. After trying everything I know I
downloaded this utility and all the downloads loaded.

I did some "tinkering" suggested in other posts and now I finally
updated sp1, but then Word, Excel, and Powerpoint are not working for my
username - when I login as another user, they work fine, though :(
I will now begin the tedious task of creating a new user and passing
all my docs and spreadsheets and other stuff from one user to the other
- another couple of hours lost!!
Every time I see an iMac ad, I get more and more convinced that my next
computer will be an Apple :S
