Hi!

I just did a brand new custom installation of very old Office Pro. 2003
(DVD) in my almost a week old 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 OS installation due to a
recent nasty HDD crash (clicks of death). I remember in the past, I
could get other updates like Office in Windows Updates. MS tells me to
go to
http://www.update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/thanks.aspx?ln=en&&thankspage=5
and http://office.microsoft.com/officeupdate/default.aspx, but they are
useless. :(

Thank you in advance. :)

There aren't any.
Updates for Office 2003 stopped several years ago.
And you really don't want IE10/11, stick with 9.
IMO, updates to O/S components are useless. If I let some unknown person
sit at my computer to install a "specially crafted" software to be able
to hack into my comp remotely, then I have more to worry about then an O/S.
And I don't care if Somalia has eliminated Daylight Savings Time or
Azerbaijan has changed their currency symbol.
