word 2010 tab keys

When I type a document in Word 2007 (and all previous versions), using
bullets and numbering, hit the enter key and the tab key, it automatically
drops down one level. However, in Word 2010, the tab key only functions as a
tab key. Is there any way in options, styles, etc. to set the tab key to
perform as in Word 2007?
Incidentally, I have been bounced all over Microsoft for a week with this
issue. The last Microsoft tech support (Justin) told me to send an email to
cont...@microsoft.com. That's a joke. http://support.microsoft.com is
useless. Word 2010 isn't one of the search options. Can anyone give me a
good address for Word 2010 help?? TIA
