XML import to Excell - one row per record?!?

New to XML. Have a large XML dataset I am trying to get into Excel 2007.
Used Developer, Source, XML and pointed mapping to the XML file. Excel told
me no map but that it could be crated automatically and al looks good in the
XML Source Pane. When I drag the elements to the spreadsheet it places the
column heading fields fine but it seems to include a row for each separate
field entry for a given Person/record. That is for one record, the data
does not occupy one single row but one piece of data per row: See screen
