When I tried the new DVD, I got an error message about how the system could not read the DVD. I tried ejecting it and reinserting it several times, but I always receive the same error.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I have a 2007 Edge AWD SEL. I have the same issue with my navigation system. I have version 4P nav dvd. One day drive down the road and my nav displayed a message saying "There was an error the dvd maybe dirty. Try cleaning it.". I took the dvd out. It was clean. I wiped it anyway and inserted the disk back in the nav unit. But I got the same error. I called Ford navigation tech support
1-800-565-3673. The tech said I should try a inserting a more recent version of the nab dvd. The dvd cost 199.00. The kicker is you cannot return it if you open it.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I tried two different cleaner disks, and i get the same disk dirty error. I even went at far as to download a torrent of the 8p disk for my 07 edge, and it gave me the same error. I removed the burned disk, and later tried it again, and it loaded up an installed the 8p disk, worked for about 2 miles on the road, and then game me the dirty disk error again. Loaded the old 4p disk back into the system, and had to confirm that i wanted to overwrite the newer software, and so far the old disk is working again. I honestly believe its the player going bad IMO. That was stupid for ford to go with a system that was disk based to begin with.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I was liking my edge, but here in the last 500 miles of the warrenty going out, the panorama roof is tore up, and now the navigation system is going in the tank as well! My sunshade became unglued on the tracks, and it wants to wad up when you try to open the roof</div><div></div><div></div><div>When it comes to technology integration into vehicles, Ford has been at the forefront of that endeavor. I know other systems allow this. I cannot stand the voice of the woman telling me directions. I won't be able to use that feature if I can't select a better voice. Couldn't find any reference to this in the manual. Help!</div><div></div><div></div><div>I was driving in the San Jose/Mountain View area last night, and the navigation was completely off. It seemed to think the car was somewhere else, e.g. a quarter mile or so away from where it really was.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I haven't noticed any issues with the car's physical location, but I HAVE noticed a pretty significant discrepancy between the center console navigation screens and the selectable turn-by-turn in the instrument cluster. On occasion, the console would tell me to merge right while the one in the cluster would tell me to go left. It was really weird. I had the big map up so I knew where I had to stay, but that was confusing as to why one would say right, and the other left...</div><div></div><div></div><div>I just got the fusion Energi the end of June. I did not have any problems with the navigation untill about a week ago where I started noticing that my car is usually off the route. Has anyone with this problem had any solution?</div><div></div><div></div><div>If your MyFord Touch system is freezing or taking a little while to catch up to your actual location, this is not how the system is intended to run. I suggest performing a master reset to the system: -technology/perform-master-reset-sync-myford-touch</div><div></div><div></div><div>I haven't noticed the location being off (although I don't normally have the nav screen up and rarely actually use the navigation), but I did notice that my car once thought I charged a half mile from home (it was shown as an unnamed charge profile). I'm guessing since the location was off (and my default profile is "charge now" - only home is set as "value charge"), it caused the car to charge immediately when plugged in rather than wait until rates go down at night. Not a huge deal for one night, but could add up if it happens often enough.</div><div></div><div></div><div>OK I've made a few posts on the thread about MFM not showing my car in the correct location, that's just a haha since it doesn't affect my driving. Well this morning was something new as my navigation in the car did the same thing while I was on the road - so now this was affecting my driving.</div><div></div><div></div><div>5:30AM - on I-95 and eject the A4 navigation card (the A5 card is currently in my wife's car) and and screen now tells me to insert the nav card, which I did, no change as I am still driving near Indonesia.</div><div></div><div></div><div>So then I hit the 'Map' button to the right of '5-day' to show the current weather map to see if there were storms on the horizon there in never-never-land, but then found that my travel adventure was now over and it showed me the DC area, and then going back to the main navigation map I was back home again and the traffic feed from Sirius was there and all was back to normal.</div><div></div><div> ffe2fad269</div>
