Howdy All!

At a client's site I was to set up Office 2000 for a new
employee. The client does not seem to be able to find
Disk1 of Office 2000. No one has MS Access installed on
their computer.

Question: how do I verify which version they have
installed? It is either Office 2000 Standard or Office
2000 Professional. We would like to be 100% sure. Just
because MS Access is not installed on anyone's computer
does not mean that what is installed is not
Professional...

I have opened up MS Excel, went to HELP, opened up ABOUT
MS EXCEL | System Info | Applications | Microsoft Excel
2000 | Summary and looked at the Product ID but that does
not help me ( my ignorance! )....

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Cary

Check out the control panel/add-remove programs applet. It should display
either Office 2000 Professional or Office 2000 Standard as the product name.
