Regardless the simplest way to manage it is to never rack the focus manually and always use the motor so the zero point is not significantly changed. If you like to fully rack in for packing up, do it with the motor by moving to 0. Then on your next setup, rack back out to your focus distance using the motor. Basically, the focuser stepper should remember it's logical position so simply keep the physical position in sync with that so it's not way off. It doesn't have to be step-perfect accurate, just that when you set up the drawtube is reasonably close to where the stepper last moved to. Zero is a convenient spot to configure both logically and physically for teardown and setup. For my non-travel rig that stays set up all the time I just leave it at the focus point, but I could just as easily rack in to 0.</div><div></div><div> dd2b598166</div>
