I'm using office 2007 ultimate on a Visio laptop what I would like to do is
open two programs such as word and infopath or two word programs so that I
can work between both programs by clicking and dragging editing is this
possible I saw it on a TV commercial somebody out there must have seen the
same TV commercial

So what's stopping you? Open two windows and re-size them so they are side
by side.....

Open the two programs, r-click the Taskbar, select Tile Windows
Vertically. FWIW this has been possible for 20 years.
