You have to call Microsoft to obtain the 7.0B upgrade CD-ROM. The most
updated version should be 7.0B for Word and Excel, although the CD-ROM
still called itself as 7.0A. When you point to About in Word and Excel,
it will report it as Word 7.0B and Excel 7.0B. PowerPoint is still 7.0A.

You can try Office 97, Version 8.0.

Michael

Where can I get the files to upgrade MS Office 7.0 to 7.0a? On my clients
machine (DELL) I recently had to re-install it. Upon re-installing I
noticed that she no longer has version 7.0a, the CD supplied with the Dell
is only 7.0. Any information will be appreciated.
Thanks
CM

Search the MS Knowledgebase (keyword MEM_BAD_POINTER). There is a problem
between MS Office and Norton Navigator for Windows 95 version 1.0b. You
need to turn off the File Popups, Folder Popups, and Drive Popups features.
You can do this from the Norton Navigator Control Center (Norton Explorer
Extentions button...).

This solved the problem for me.
