Then Outlook 2007 Beta stopped working, both it and
and Business Contacts Manager complained that outlrpc.dll was incompatible.
Running
filemon suggests that Outlook is accessing two versions of the file, the one
in its
own directory (Office12) but also the one in the Office 97 directory
(Office). Not only that, but Outlook 98, while able to open the pst files,
won't send and receive, even though the accounts are still there! The
send/receive dialog box just states that there are 0 tasks to complete.
I reinstalled Outlook 2007 Beta, it is now working, but Outlook 98 fails
again, claiming omint.dll is missing! Normally this message occurs if the
registry has the wrong idea of which Outlook 98 is installed,
Corporate/workgroup or Internet Mail only. I wonder if the installation of
Outlook 2007 somehow makes the system think that Outlook 98 is installed
with the corporate/workgroup edition when it's not!

You need to choose as the two versions of Outlook are not compatible on the
same computer.

After furious head scratching, Stuart Brooks asked:
